Who We Are 

The Flagstaff Avalanche is a High School Hockey Program that was founded in order to provide hockey players from Northern Arizona High Schools an opportunity to compete amongst their peers in amateur league play provided through the 'Arizona High School Hockey Association' (AHSHA).  This program provides high school players the opportunity to try out and compete in a club sport program that crosses high school boundaries and truly represents the community. 
 

Our Approach

The Flagstaff Avalanche and its Members are dedicated and committed to developing successful hockey teams by selecting Players/Students who not only put their best skate forward ON the rink....but strive to keep their best foot forward OFF it as well.  Through training, education, and the use of key role models, the values of sportsmanship, community service projects, and family participation will be at the forefront of all efforts.  
 

Academic Progress Monitored for Success

Students selected to participate as AVs Players are held accountable for their academic standings. A central faculty advisor for the area high schools works in conjunction with our Club and 'AHSHA' to monitor grades and attendance to ensure players follow acceptable academic guidelines outlined by area high schools.

By educating and promoting sportsmanship, unity, commitment and above all, truth and respect for oneself and others, AVs Players will be afforded the opportunity to learn valuable life lessons and skills that can be applied and appreciated long after graduation.
